Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all apps published by ReibLAR LLC under the Crossroad Games name, including SERE: Evade & Survive and Eldrin: The Lanterns of the Deep, and to the websites playsere.com, playeldrin.com and crossroad.games. "We," "us" and "our" mean ReibLAR LLC. "Apps" means any of these games.

The short version: Our games don't require an account. We don't sell your personal information. Your saves stay on your device. SERE shows ads and uses Google Analytics, described below. Eldrin has no ads and no analytics.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. If you email us, we keep your email address and the content of your message so we can reply.

Game data on your device. Progress, saved games, settings and locations you've built in SERE are stored on your device. We can't access this data, and deleting the app deletes it.

Place searches in SERE. When you search for a place that isn't built into SERE, the place name you type is sent to open geographic services to look up its coordinates and a short description. Those services receive the search text and your device's network address as part of a normal request. We don't store your searches on our servers.

Purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and can restore it. We never receive your payment details.

Analytics and advertising (SERE). SERE uses Google Analytics to understand general usage, such as which screens are visited and how often the app is opened. SERE also shows ads through third-party advertising providers, which may collect device identifiers, approximate location and usage data to show and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings: on iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; on Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads.

Basic device information. Like most apps, our games may receive device type, operating system version and app version to keep things working and fix problems.

2. What we don't collect

We don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. We don't sell personal information.

3. How we use information

To run, maintain and improve our games.
To answer support messages and fix problems you report.
To understand general usage so we can decide what to build next.
To show ads in SERE and measure how they perform.
To comply with the law and protect our rights and users.

4. Service providers

We use trusted third parties to run our apps and sites, including Google Analytics, advertising networks, Apple and Google's app stores, web hosting, and open geographic services for place lookups. They may process information only to perform services for us, under their own privacy policies.

5. Children

Our games are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it. Parents can also use device settings to limit ads and in-app purchases.

6. Data retention

Emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and keep a support record. Game data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Your choices and rights

Delete a game's saves by deleting the app, or by using the game's own save-management options.
Limit ad tracking through your iPhone or Android settings.
Ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@crossroad.games. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those rights where they apply.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. International use

We are based in the United States. If you use our apps from another country, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll also note them in the app or on our website.
