Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to all apps published by ReibLAR LLC under the Crossroad Games name, including SERE: Evade & Survive and Eldrin: The Lanterns of the Deep, and to the websites playsere.com, playeldrin.com and crossroad.games (together, the "Services"). By downloading, installing or using any of them, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. The games are fiction

Our games are works of fiction for entertainment. SERE is inspired by publicly available survival-training concepts. It is not official military training, medical advice or survival instruction, and it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Defense or any government agency. Don't rely on anything in our games for real-world survival, safety or medical decisions.

2. License to use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. All rights not granted are reserved.

3. Purchases and restoring purchases

Some games offer a free portion and a one-time purchase that unlocks the rest. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Prices are shown in the app store and may change. Refunds are handled by the app store where you bought the game. To restore a purchase on a new device, use the Restore Purchase option in the game, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account.

4. Advertising

Some apps, including SERE, display ads and may offer optional rewarded ads that give you a benefit, such as a retry. You aren't required to watch rewarded ads to play. We aren't responsible for the content of third-party ads.

5. Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the apps, except where the law allows it.
• Copy, resell or redistribute our games, text, art or other content without written permission.
• Use bots, scripts or other automated means to access or interfere with the Services.
• Use the Services to break any law or to harass, threaten or harm others.
• Try to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas or suggestions, you give us permission to use them to improve our games without payment or credit to you. Don't send us anything you don't have the right to share.

7. Place lookups in SERE

When you search for a place in SERE that isn't built in, the game uses open geographic services to look up information about it. We don't guarantee that this information is accurate, complete or up to date. Generated missions are fiction and may not reflect real conditions on the ground.

8. Intellectual property

The apps, including their story, characters, text, code, artwork, sounds, and the names SERE, Eldrin and Crossroad Games, are owned by ReibLAR LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. These Terms don't give you any rights to our trademarks.

9. Third-party services and links

The Services link to or rely on third parties, including Apple, Google, advertising networks and analytics providers. Their terms and privacy policies govern their services, not ours. We aren't responsible for third-party content or services.

10. Updates and availability

We may update, change or discontinue any app or feature at any time. We don't guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some updates may be required to keep using an app.

11. Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ReibLAR LLC isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the app giving rise to the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless ReibLAR LLC from claims arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Services if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the Services at any time by deleting the apps.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
